Senior Auditor Jobs description
Those candidates who wish to get involved in senior auditor jobs should have the required educational qualifications and experience. A candidate for senior auditor jobs should have a bachelor's degree in accounting. He or she can also have professional certifications like CPA, CIA, CISA, etc., which will be advantageous. An advanced degree in the field of accounting and finance is preferred in most senior auditor jobs.A candidate for senior auditor jobs should have 3+ years of audit practice experience. Usually, experience in risk-based auditing or risk control activities in investment banking is also necessary. A candidate for senior auditor jobs should have outstanding audit experience with a capacity to achieve deeper and broader understanding of the processes. He or she should have strong analytical skills with excellent technical knowledge and verbal and written communication and presentation skills. In senior auditor jobs excellent planning and organizational skills are also required.
Senior auditor jobs involve a wide range of tasks. The candidate's main responsibilities are to provide assessments of effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of operation. He or she has to ensure that audits, as defined in the project audit plan are completed on time and within budget. People in senior auditor jobs also have to provide local leadership and line management as required. They have to supervise and evaluate junior staff, evaluate and make recommendations on adequacy and effectiveness of accounting, and plan and perform audits within assigned budgets and deadlines. Candidates for senior auditor jobs will also have to provide documentation of audit process, interact with clients, and assist in special projects as necessary.
