Audit Supervisor Jobs description

An audit supervisor job involves supervising audit staff during audits and control consulting engagements that evaluate corporate management and operating practices. An audit supervisor will provide supervision and on the job training for audit assistants; execute the approved audit plan and supervise assignments; and review Lotus Notes audit work papers prepared by audit staff ensuring sound audit theory and compliance with the department's methodology. An audit supervisor will continuously monitor adherence to policies and procedures and assess the effectiveness of systems of internal control designed to protect the clients, assets, revenues, and market reputation. An audit supervisor will also effectively work with new and changing situations, including new industry regulations, where there may not always be a readily apparent solution.
An audit supervisor job requires a commerce graduate degree. Experience of 2+ years in either public accounting or internal audit may be required. An audit supervisor should be capable of presenting results to senior management. An audit supervisor must be able to view controls issues and concerns from the perspective of both the audit committee and senior management. An audit supervisor should be very smart and presentable. Good verbal and written communication skills are must.
