for Banner Bank is part of the Internal Audit team and reports to the Audit Director. In this role you will responsible for supporting Internal Audit with carrying out assurance and consulting engagements (collectively, “audits”) designed to add value and improve the effectiveness of Banner Bank’s operations and Retail banking.
As an Auditor
for Banner Bank, you will have the opportunity to:
Audit bank operations and other business-related activities for compliance with established policies, procedures, federal and state laws, rules and regulations, effective and efficient governance, and risk management control processes
Demonstrate progress in learning client’s businesses and operations as related to assigned work areas to help identify risks and opportunities
Support internal and external auditors, consultants and regulatory examiners as necessary
Assist with writing internal audit policies, procedures, and instruction and training materials
Develop, maintain and enhance skills through professional education
Represent Banner Bank at various internal and external functions to promote its services and commitment to the communities it serves
Overnight travel may be 10% - 15%
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field required
1 year of audit or regulatory examination experience required
Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to banking preferred
Familiar with auditing theory, procedures and techniques
Accomplished in professional communication, including sound verbal and listening abilities, and using discretion and integrity when handling confidential information
Effective in performing duties accurately under deadline situations and adapting to a rapid change of pace
Capable of understanding a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Competent in presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, customers, and others
Capacity to read, analyze and interpret governmental regulations, general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures
Familiarity with the
International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
Demonstrated ability to work with personal computers including workflow and reporting processes, as well as Microsoft Office products
