Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor’s in a business-related field required, professional certification/advanced degree is a plus.
Significant management experience with audit, risk, or controls with expertise in front office asset management activities preferred.
Strong candidates with trading/markets experience from banks will also be considered.
Industry/subject matter knowledge in portfolio management/trading processes, technology, and regulatory requirements is required.
Ability to present findings and industry insights to senior leaders across the company.
Strong conceptual thinking aptitude and ability to persuade and influence others.
Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, dynamic, and fast-paced environment with strong inherent project execution skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, including written/verbal communications, willingness to assist in areas outside of direct assignments, and commitment to self-improvement/completion of team objectives.
Experience in situations requiring diplomacy with strong negotiation skills.
Excellent relationship skills and client-focused mindset.
Flexibility to travel with work (USA, London, Australia) up to 25%.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for a business line/segment of the audit plan.
Establish and maintain relationships with management across firm and risk partners.
Manage overall audit and advisory engagements to ensure the timely delivery of the highest quality work and value-add recommendations.
Develop a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the processes, issues, pertinent regulations and risks associated with engagement scope.
Assess the adequacy of the control environment, identify control gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement, and relate it division and enterprise-wide.
Perform audit work and analysis on complex audit areas and provide opinion on audit and advisory findings, ratings, and recommendations to senior management.
Effectively communicates and clearly articulates the objectives, status and results of assigned work.
Influence senior management to act on recommendations to strengthen the control environment.
Serve as trusted advisor and consultant to the department and business leaders to share knowledge and perspective on topics related to governance, risk, control, and areas of expertise.
Participate and lead on projects to effectively deliver on operational and strategic goals.
Communicate expectations/review work of audit team and provide coaching/feedback to aid in development.
Recruit, train, and develop auditors to ensure that an efficient and high standard of work is main.
