Leads complex information technology, financial, compliance, and operational audits across all departments, divisions, and locations of Briggs & Stratton. Acts as a key contributor to completion of the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program and may lead parts, or all of the annual requirements.
Leads and performs annual and quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing of SAP configurable controls and IT general controls for assigned domestic and international entities
Leads information technology, financial, operation, and compliance audits
Designs control testing strategies to effectively determine if controls are in place and working as intended
Audits complex IT infrastructures (networks, LANs, WANs, Security, etc.) and application platforms (SAP)
Utilizes project management principles to guide audit staff in planning, organizing, and executing internal audits
Performs work guided by the professional auditing standards set forth by the Institute of Internal Auditors
Communicates the results of audits and other projects via written reports and oral presentations to senior management
Works cohesively and effectively within diverse teams
Pursues professional development opportunities, including internal and external training, professional certifications, and professional association memberships
Stays current on industry trends, emerging risks, changes to regulatory landscape, and general business knowledge
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements:
Knowledge of US GAAP and the professional auditing standards set forth by the Institute of Internal Auditors as well as knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and public-corporate accounting oversight board regulations and an understanding of the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) Auditing framework
Experience testing and documenting SAP configuration
Experience testing system reports and report logic
Knowledge of Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Ability to identify, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls
Exceptional ability to identify data analytics opportunities, build and execute data analytics test programs around processes, systems, risks, controls, and strategies
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with a diverse group of people as well as an understanding of a collaborative auditing approach and the ability to create and sustain professional relationships
Ability to independently organize, prioritize, and execute work; ability to take ownership in completing assigned tasks; self-motivated with desire to grow and seek challenges
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or other pertinent field
CISA, CISSP, CPA, CIA, or CFE preferred
Minimum of five years of relevant experience
Experience with SAP required
Experience with SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), ACL Analytics, dab:Exporter, or other data extraction tools preferred
20% travel both domestic and international
