OF VACANCIES: One (1) or moreAGENCY: **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., Office of Integrity & Oversight  DURATION OF APPOINTMENT: PermanentCOLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT: This position IS NOT in a collective bargaining unit. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The incumbent is responsible for conducting a variety of audits, reviews, and follow up work spanning throughout a wide range of organizational and functional OCFO units.  Duties include, but are not limited to conducting audits and reviews of OCFO agencies programs, functions, and activities aimed at providing reliable constructive recommendations for improved management efficiency and operational effectiveness.  Providing management with independent analysis of whether desired results of program objectives are achieved efficiently, economically and in accordance with prescribed laws, regulation and applicable policies and procedures.  Performing follow up audits related to the agencies' implementation of corrective action plans based on the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), Single Audit Findings and Recommendations and Management Letter Comments issued by the District independent Auditors.  Preparing cumulative bi-weekly activity reports for the Director of Internal Audit, summarizing work performance and related achievements against the Auditor's individual work plan.  Performing other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Four (4) years of progressive experience performing the related duties and responsibilities is required.  In addition – Applicants must have a degree in accounting or related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. This can include up to six (6) hours of business law. Applicants must submit an official transcript that verifies a degree in accounting or related field and 24 semester credit hours in accounting in order to be considered. If applicable, your application package must include a foreign credential course by course evaluation of all foreign transcripts. Specialized Experience Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.
