Job Descriptions:

This position checks, evaluates, verifies, and draws conclusions about the performance and efficiency of finance data for audit requests. The analytical tasks mainly involve verification, interpretation, and making accurate inferences. This position is a specialist in accounting, finance, and production.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Lead time keeping audit program, train internal auditors, and perform corrective action re-audits

Coordinate with all auditors and material control personnal to perform inventory audits

Perform internal WIP audits

Provide documentation for financial audits such as bank audits, proposal audits, incurred cost audits, and any other audits

Liaison for activities related to financial audits with internal and external auditors such as DCAA, DCMA, Corporate Internal, Company Internal, Deloitte and Touche, Banks, and all other auditors

Performs government accounting duties such as auditing costs for compliance with government regulations including the Federal Acquisition Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards

Ensure Sarbanes–Oxley compliance within Accounting and Finance; research requirements and make suggestions to manager(s), and lead of implementation of accepted suggestions

Manage internal control processes within the departments as well as related to processes outside of the department

Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications

Maintain financial historical records by filing auditing documents

Assist department with closing procedures as needed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards and company policies

Must be available to work extended hours when required

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization

Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary

Ability to remain calm and stay in command of stressful situations and be resourceful and efficient

Ability to multi task, be proactive, prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner

Ability to justify decisions verbally or in written documentation when reviewed

Must be willing to provide support to other departments as needed

Must be able to follow verbal and written directions

Must be flexible and motivated with a high level of initiative to close open action items

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Demonstrated experience training others desired

Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams to meet project requirements desired

Ability to manage complexities and analyze information to make informed decisions

Must have excellent organizational and prioritization skills and proven expertise in analyzing and mastering details

Advanced written and verbal communication skills

Excellent PC computing skills

Advanced skills in MS Excel

Advanced skills in ERP or MRP systems

Required Experience:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field

3 to 5 years experience related to auditing and accounting functions in a project engineering or manufacturing environment

Experience working with and intermediate understanding of Sarbanes–Oxley Act and compliance requirements

Experience interfacing with administrative agencies associated with the DOD, (DCMA, DCAA and DFAS) desired

Experience supporting DCAA audits desired

May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship)

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Office and manufacturing environment

Ability to analyze complex data and information to make informed and accruate decisions

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time

Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, phones. 10-key)

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted

Ability to travel between locations
