Description Job Overview: The Audit Staff/Senior position isexpected to understand and start to identify and evaluate risk, develop auditprograms, participate on audits, identify issues, identify areas forimprovement in efficiency and effectiveness, start to work with management in developingaction plans to ensure risks are effectively mitigated, and follow up todetermine adequacy of corrective actions. Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Conduct interviews and perform research to gainan understanding of the business process / function / area to be audited. Documentunderstanding of business processes in process narratives and/or flow charts. Begin to identify and evaluate the design andimplementation of internal controls. Assistin the development of audit procedures to effectively and efficiently test keycontrols identified. Perform audittesting to evaluate if the identified controls are present and functioning. Obtain adequate supporting documentation forfindings and opinions, and thoroughly document testing approach and conclusionsin the working papers. Identify anddocument issues arising from audit work and participate in presenting findingsto business unit management. Identify process improvement opportunities andshare best practices with the audit team and with audit area management. Follow up on action plans and determineadequacy of corrective actions. Assist the audit team in evaluating processesfor potential issues and assists in the evaluation of internal controldeficiencies. Immediately reports itemswith SOX impact and/or financial statement impact greater than establishedlimits to the Lead Auditor, Audit Director or Manager making sure that allknown issues are quantified and escalated. Represents the department in discussing auditplans, findings and reports with audit areas and Senior Management. Review and evaluates the adequacy of managementaction plans to ensure plans will remediate the internal control issues noted. For assigned management action plans, perform adetailed review of the follow-up tracking spreadsheet and obtain updatedmanagement action plan status within that quarter. Report the results of follow-up procedures tothe responsible director and oversees the communication to various levels ofcompany staff and management verbally and in writing. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance orother related area required/Bacheloru2019s degree in IT, related field orapplicable work experience required. An M.B.A is a plus. Professional certification (Certified InternalAuditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified InformationSystems Auditor (CISA), etc.) is desired. 1 years of experience in auditing,accounting, IT or related experience. Big 4 CPA firm experience a plus. Some past business management experience is a plus. Strong personal computer skills and knowledgeand understanding of accounting, management and/or information systemsrequired. Exposure to COSO internalcontrol frameworks is desired. Knowledge of software and audit techniques used by Internal Audit, suchas Audit Command Language (ACL), is desired. General knowledge of Company operations and retail industry helpful. Strong verbal, written and presentation skills,a high degree of personal integrity and ability to work with minimal supervision. Requires strong analytical skills to learncustomer business objectives, evaluate risks and plan projects.
