PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Consultant with strong Financial Services audit experience, specifically Fair Lending Regulation X & Regulation Z (Truth in Lending & Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act), you will help our clients with Financial Services Audit projects in the area of Consumer Protection Regulation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Knowledge of applicable federal and state consumer lending laws and regulations as well as industry association standards, including, among others, Truth in Lending Act (Reg Z), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (Reg X), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Reg B), and Fair Credit Reporting Act (Reg V) and impact of non-compliance.
The ability to communicate with senior management, examiners/auditors, the board of directors and associates at all levels is critical.
Works with various process owners across many companies to create and update process documentation, flowcharts, and process risk assessments.
Coordinates and tracks internal and external control testing progress and identifies control gaps and remediation efforts.
Contributes in the execution of the SOX assessment program in providing thorough and reliable identification of in-scope accounts and locations, planning, testing, documentation, and reporting of the effectiveness of financial reporting for delivery to the senior management and external committees.
Develops recommendations to correct control deficiencies and provide ideas for process improvements
Proactively identifies and monitors process and system changes that have a direct impact on the company's financial statements and related disclosures.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required
2-4 years as a compliance analyst or auditor in a credit card, banking or financial services institution preferred
Familiar with consumer credit regulations
CPA, CIA or CISA preferred
Ability to respond effectively and quickly to clients' needs and issues
Ability and desire to work within a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
Strong client service and time management and project delivery skills
