Role descriptionWe are looking for experienced professionals with an audit background to provide controls assurance, accounting advice, transaction support and other services, joining our fast growing Assurance team within our Audit & Assurance practice. You will be principally focussed on delivering assurance services to our impressive portfolio of clients as well as supporting our audit practice from time to time. You will be working closely with our clients, understanding their challenges and delivering innovative solutions. Strong project management skills are a key part of this role as is the ability to identify and respond to risks and issues within a project. Candidates should be articulate and quick thinking, able to explain our approach and respond to dynamic environments.As part of the International team, there may be opportunities for foreign travel and overseas secondments. Working in the International team will accelerate your opportunity to build your international network, as well as in the UK. LocationYou will be based in the Deloitte Reading office, however travel will be required for client based projects. We work across industry specialisms – our clients are varied, and vary in location. Whilst some clients are Reading based, we do spend time on site with regional clients. We specify full mobility for our Audit and Assurance roles but we make arrangements respectfully. Hours37.5 hours per week. This is a permanent role. ResponsibilitiesAs a Manager within the Audit and Assurance practice you will have responsibility for:Working with your team in managing and growing relationships across our client portfolio; Identifying and developing assurance opportunities with new and existing clients of the firm based on their bespoke needs; Leading teams and developing junior team members to reach their potential; Delivering high quality engagements through effective delegation and strong technical ability; Ensuring all regulatory changes are implemented and complied with both internally and on client engagements; Having a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them including having a clear understanding of the firm's commitment to creating a more inclusive culture; and Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.QualificationsRequirements To qualify for the role you must have:ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent); Audit background plus industry or client-side experience Strong controls transformation / design / implementation experience; PCAOB experience desirable, but not essential; Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and USGAAP; A proven track record in establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients; An ability to quickly develop solutions in a fluid and fast changing; Effective and precise management of budgets; The ability to work under own initiative and in many different and stimulating environments;Salary: Market rate; Start date: 13/2/2018; End date: 13/3/2018 ; Full time You are here: We are Audit & AssuranceWe understand our clients' operations, their industry and the issues they face.
