The Senior External Audit Project Manager is responsible for managing complex external audit projects from Prime’s clients, owners, regulatory bodies or other third parties. This position is responsible for serving as the client liaison by understanding, planning, coordinating and facilitating across all levels of the organization as needed for successful execution of these external audit projects. The is also responsible for working with Prime’s business owners to deliver required documents, information, files, samples and other audit related artifacts based on requirements established by clients.
Independently work with cross functional teams throughout the organization, at all levels of management, to successfully deliver high quality deliverables to clients for each audit project
Ensure audit project expectations are communicated to entire project team and are executed in a timely manner, and provide internal business partners information regarding audit project tools, templates, forms and standard protocols
Continuously update audit status reporting for executive leadership, Compliance and other departments to track timelines and milestones for each audit project, and execute an escalation process when deliverables are past due or do not meet the quality standards set by the audit project
Lead, coordinate and schedule audit project kick off meetings, scope definition and requirement clarification, issue resolution/risk mitigation meetings and other meetings, internal or with client/third party as needed throughout audit project or as requested by client/third party
Train and mentor external audit project management leads as they learn new techniques and gain more complex external audit experience
Work with department leadership to create, review and update Standard Operating Procedures, Desk Top Procedures, process workflows, training documentation and other department level documents

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Healthcare Service or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
5 years experience leading cross functional work efforts
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Ability to manage multiple projects, in various stages, at one time
Ability to adapt well to change when situations require
Strong interpersonal communication skills including facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution
Consistently effective at persuading and influencing others to understand and accept new ideas
Proficient in Federal, State and internally developed regulatory guidance and translating that information into departmental procedures
Compliance audit and/or quality assurance background
Knowledge of healthcare regulated requirements (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, Individual market).
Action oriented ability to identify and implement process improvements
Minimum Physical Job Requirements:
Flexible work schedule to accommodate clients in different time zones and during critical client audits
Ability to travel up to 15%
Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
