Job Description Wells Fargo Audit Services is seeking an Audit Manager to join its Finance and Corporate Activities (FCA) audit team. The person will provide key leadership for our audit coverage of Corporate Treasury risk management practices/activities enterprise-wide, including asset/liability management; global funding and liquidity risk management; investment portfolio; recovery and resolution planning; and/or financial performance management/funds transfer pricing. They will demonstrate depth and breadth of knowledge/understanding of interest rate, liquidity and investment portfolio processes/capabilities and regulatory requirements, principles and practices. The Audit Manager will lead/oversee projects required to execute a successful multi-year audit coverage strategy. To achieve this, they must maintain a strong understanding of the functions historical, current and future operations, including the diverse set of associated risks and control structures. This Audit Manager must also have a strong understanding of industry events/practices and emerging risks with the financial services industry. They will identify and assess key risks and controls in order to design and oversee the execution of audit test steps, identify control weaknesses and make control improvement recommendations to management. They will be involved in identifying and developing ways to improve existing audit practices related to audit coverage. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate with key internal and external stakeholders, in addition to key senior leadership within WFAS and maintain a professional stand on difficult issues with little or no guidance. They will exhibit appropriate judgment regarding issue notification, draft findings to management reflecting relevant facts that lead to logical conclusions, and draft final audit reports for review by the Senior Audit Manager and Executive Audit Director. The candidate will need to demonstrate professional skepticism while performing all activities within Wells Fargo business activities while maintaining a
o surprises\ environment with business partners as well as with peers and WFAS management by fostering an environment of open communication. The candidate will need to consistently demonstrate the ability to go above and beyond expectations, driving for superior results and quality, and present audit results in an objective and unbiased manner. Travel for this job can be up to 25%. Required Qualifications
7 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: audit, control testing, control and risk identification, or audit analysis
2 years of leadership experience
Audit experience at a large financial institution or auditing company.
A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or business administration
Certification in one or more of the following: CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CISA or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation
Leadership experience for professional auditors, risk management, or project leadership professionals
Solid knowledge and understanding of audit methodologies and tools that support audit processes
Big four public accounting experience
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding SOX Sarbanes-Oxley Act
Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Other Desired Qualifications Audit coverage experience within one of the following areas is highly preferred: Liquidity, interest rate or investment portfolio risk management.
