Duties The Risk Management Division\u00a0is looking for qualified candidates to apply for a newly developed Internal Auditor position. Responsibilities will include: planning and conducting risk-based financial & compliance audits, completing each component in compliance with quality standards (Institute of Internal Auditor Standards). The most qualified candidates will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships, excellent time management skills, and possess a strong desire for professional development. The Ideal Candidate will possess the following attributes: Professional with a strong technical analysis tempered by astute relational skills, considering both tactical and strategic outcomes. Ability to take several complex issues and clarify them quickly, clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Ability to initiate, develop, nurture, manage and build stakeholder relationships in a fluid environment. Have knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and policies governing the agency's major business functions. Have knowledge of and experience applying Government Auditing Standards as well as International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. Ability to conduct audits and consultation engagements of WSP operations, facilities, field offices, programs and business processes across the state. Possess effective communication and supervisory skills Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality at all times Maintain a high level of integrity and tactfulness in dealing with a wide range of internal and external employees and customers Ability to pass a background check and polygraph test Who Should Apply? Professionals should hold\u00a0a\u00a0Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or related fields. Have at least five years of experience in the field of auditing. Have 12 semester or 18 quarter hours of college level accounting. Professionals with Certifications as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Government Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner or similar professional certifications are encouraged to apply.
