helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk and market risk. We help our management and Board of Directors identify and monitor risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and take appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.
Reporting to a Senior Enterprise Risk Management Consultant (“ERMC”), this ERMC opportunity will play an important role in Wells Fargo’s risk management effort in meeting its responsibilities as a global, systemically important financial institution by contributing to the Corporate Credit & Market Risk Group’s oversight of the Corporate Treasury and Enterprise Finance teams. The ERMC position will be a part of the Treasury & Corporate Finance Oversight (“TCFO”) team providing oversight of both Financial Forecasting and Financial Performance Management as well as contributing as needed in other areas of Corporate Treasury and Enterprise Finance oversight as needed.
The successful candidate will:
Assist the TCFO team in executing and enhancing the risk management framework that includes oversight and challenge of financial forecasting and performance management
Conduct monitoring, analysis, and research related to quarterly forecast drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities and other ad hoc analysis as needed
Perform quarterly Business Growth Initiatives (BGI) monitoring in conjunction with quarterly forecast oversight activities
Independently monitor, analyze, and research, as needed, changes to Financial Performance Management methodologies, assumptions, and management overlays
Assist in the review and challenge of Funds Transfer Pricing Mismatch Center results, including attribution analysis
Contribute to the identification and communication of emerging risks and implications for strategic financial risk management
Prepare reporting describing the results of oversight activities, new and/or emerging risks, and recommendations made to senior management.
Develop and maintain detailed procedures for monitoring and oversight activities and associated reporting
Help maintain good relationships across the Wells Fargo enterprise, including the front line, audit and regulators.
6 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, risk, or audit
Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels
Process efficiency experience, including process assessment and recommendations for improvement
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Solid critical thinking skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to prepare management level presentations

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
Other Desired Qualifications
• 6 years of risk management, finance, capital markets experience or equivalent
• 6 years of treasury/funding/asset liability management or financial performance analysis experience in either a direct or support capacity
• Sound knowledge of financial markets
• Work independently with the ability to identify concerns and appropriately challenge as needed
• Knowledge of Wells Fargo’s Matched Maturity Funds Transfer Pricing (MMFTP) framework, principles, and mechanics
• Experience with Essbase/FAST, EPM or related models and management reporting tools
• MBA, CFA or equivalent professional certification
