The Quality Auditor is responsible for batch record review and release, first shot inspections and final audit of production and reworked product as required by customer or internal needs as well as coordinating any rework projects. Other tasks include: auditing, gage maintenance, containing defective product, SOP and work instruction creation and review, maintaining quality records and assisting others within the plant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and release of batch records
Collect and inspect first shots
Collect, inspect, and document WIP and finished goods retains for storage.
Coordinate rework projects on non-conforming material (WIP, finished goods and customer returns) with Scheduling and Manufacturing Departments.
Perform rework operations on non-conforming material as required.
Utilize JDE to place inventory on blocked status in audit area as required
Conduct a variety of audits including: Internal, Process, cGMP, Perimeter, Warehouse and Glass/ Brittle Plastics.
Coordinate plant wide cleaning program. Ensure cleaning supplies are in the required areas and distribute, collect and monitor the cleaning logs.
Clean production gauges and quality equipment in manufacturing.
Review and update Quality Department SOPâ€™s and Work Instructions as required.
Assist plant associates on the use of the QSI system.
Assist with production & quality records retention (on and off-site records retention)
Final audit of production and rework parts
Complete Final Inspection Form PRINFCD-116 for all audited product
Transfer product internally and assist associates in doing so through the use of internal product transfer forms
Reject product internally and assist associates in containing defects
Assist production associates as needed.
Follow applicable Food Safety and cGMP policies

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driverâ€™s license required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Working knowledge of Quality Assurance processes & GMP preferred.
Computer application skills preferred.
Must be capable of learning how to use gauges and measurement equipment as necessary.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as with others on projects
and assigned tasks.
Strong problem-solving, organizational and interpersonal skills needed.
Experience with powered industrial trucks, including fork truck, preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals.
Effective written and oral communication skills needed.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
