POSITION DESCRIPTION:\r

Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies currently has an opening for a Premium Audit Review Analyst in our Omaha, NE office. The Premium Audit Review Analyst will develop and apply premium audit expertise in order to complete timely and accurate premium audit review and billing. Deliver excellent service to both internal and external customers. Develop strong technical knowledge of state and\/or bureau specific premium application rules. Serve as a key resource for the premium audit leadership team in driving on-going process improvement.\r

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\r
\r
\r
\tApply payroll to classification on workers’ compensation premium audit mail forms and physical audit worksheet output. Identify discrepancies by comparing results to pre-audit class codes and states. Contact internal\/external stakeholders regarding unusual items and forward to management for discussion.\r
\tApply payroll to classification on workers’ compensation phone audits by conducting interviews with workers’ compensation policyholders. Communicate with agents and policyholders to ask questions regarding the policyholder’s operations and employee classifications. Identify discrepancies by comparing results to pre-audit class codes and states. Review results with internal\/external stakeholders regarding unusual items and forward to management for approval.\r
\tIdentify classification and\/or payroll errors and process as a return for correction (RFC) by channeling to the appropriate party. Ensure corrections are made and processed accordingly.                                                                              \r
\tIdentify and acknowledge a premium audit dispute; direct customer inquiry concerning value added information. Ensure conclusions are clearly communicated.\r
\tConduct self-directed research by utilizing applicable bureau manuals, websites and call centers.\r
\tMonitor, document, and correspond to internal\/external customers based on workers’ compensation premium audit inquiry.       \r
\tPerform other related duties or special projects as assigned by company leadership or as situation dictates. Serve as a change agent and as a member of the BHHC premium audit team in driving on-going process improvement in compliance and efficiency. \r

QUALIFICATIONS\r
\r
\r
\tBachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field or equivalent\r
\tPersonal computer and related spreadsheet and data manipulation experience\r
\tKnowledgeable in company and department practices and procedures\r
\tPrinciples of business, statistics, finance, insurance, insurance accounting, and statistics\r
\tPrinciples of process analysis and project management\r
\t2-3 years of related work experience\r
