The Office of Policies and Standards

(OPS) in Risk Management & Compliance

is critical in advancing the firm’s policy

and standards agenda. The

OPS is responsible for establishing and overseeing firmwide

policy and standards governance and developing firmwide technology to support

the policy and standards

management process, including maintaining a single repository for

policies (the Firmwide Policy Portal).

 OPS provides active and direct leadership in

development, drafting, review, socialization and approval of policies and

Governance Vice President

is responsible for driving

the development and maintenance

of and adherence to firmwide

policy governance, managing related

forums and supporting other strategic

initiatives as they arise. 


ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Office of Policy and Standards

Governance Lead to drive firmwide policy initiatives related to governance,

communication, technology and innovationManage the policy

and standards governing

documents, including review with stakeholders during annual

/ ad

hoc refresh. Provide strategic

insight for document harmonization

and establishment of new requirementsProvide expert guidance related to adherence to

policy/standard governance requirements and policy/standard technology and

manage remediation initiativesManage governance forums by

developing meeting materials

and soliciting agenda items from LOB

and Function stakeholdersContribute to the development,

implementation, maintenance, and

enhancement of firmwide

policy/standard technologyManage the

socialization of policies/standards to relevant firmwide stakeholders for review and feedbackEngage with firmwide contacts to ascertain policy/standards

needs and determine appropriate documentationWork with firmwide document contacts during

lifecycle events (i.e., development, review, amendment, approval, retirement)

to promote adherence to established governance processesManage metrics reporting to senior managementSupport determination, assignment and

reassignment of policy/standard ownership

as requiredSupport partnership with Regulatory Engagement and

Office of Legal ObligationLead policy training initiatives, new technology

roll-out and other group initiatives as they arise','!*!

Minimum 5 years

experience in Compliance, Risk, Audit or Corporate

Governance activities, preferably within the financial services industryBachelor or higher

degree in finance, accounting, or a related disciplineExcellent project management, communication, process and

business analysis skillsDemonstrated ability to partner

effectively across different businesses

and functional areasProfessional maturity and confidence in expressing a point of view

with senior management and a variety of

stakeholders/audiencesExcellent control mindset Strong Excel, Word and Power

Point skills as well as ability to become a

subject-matter expert in new authoring

and workflow technology and

portal management
