IT Auditor Jobs
An IT auditor is responsible for evaluating moderate to complex business processes that include systems and infrastructure. An IT auditor develops an understanding of the function to be audited and identifies control risks to improve efficiencies; puts together IT plans that relate to the overall business plan; consolidates IT issues for management level review; and makes recommendations to the management. An IT auditor job may also involve supervising projects/audits and also assisting in orientation programs for new team members.
An IT auditor should hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or computer science. A degree in public accounting, MBA, CPA and/or CIA is an advantage. Experience of 8+ years in a senior IT position is generally required. A few years experience in IT audit may also be required. Security administration or system support of mainframes along with ERP experience may be essential for some positions. Strong PC skills preferably in Microsoft Office suite are required for such jobs.
