A compliance auditor job involves various internal audits including both accounting and operational perform testing as it relates to compliance as well as other special projects as determined by the management. A compliance auditor assists with recommendations for improvements with internal controls and related processes. A compliance auditor will examine the procedures for compliance with laws like: child labor, forced labor, discrimination, wages & benefits, working hours, safety, health & hygiene, freedom of association environment protection. A compliance auditor will manage and update the internal control documentation, and assist with the internal audit and risk assessment processes. A compliance auditor will also interact outside auditors and internal division personnel to provide necessary information, analysis, and assistance as it relate to internal control and compliance.
A compliance auditor job requires a bachelors degree along with 3+ years of experience in areas relating to security audit and compliance function. Strong command on IT security fundamentals, excellent exposure on IT assessment & audit, enterprise risk management and compliance is required. A compliance auditor must understand accounting processes and must be confident and able to handle sensitive/ difficult situations. Ability to communicate well in both written and verbal forms is also essential.
