In casinos, the auditors oversee the accounting and statistical data that allow the given casino to run smoothly. They may also design and coordinate financial plans and audit the current plan, ensuring that it still meets the needs of the business. They inspect the everyday operations of the business and inspect the records for any fraudulent activities throughout the organization. In these internal auditor jobs, a person must have a bachelor's degree in accounting.



Many businesses want their auditors to have certification, so by receiving certification, a person proves that he or she is prepared and qualified for auditor positions. This certification opens up other opportunities for the internal auditor with a degree in accounting. Certified auditors can work as CPAs and keep the books for businesses and ensure that their taxes are paid on time.

Another job that requires certification is any certified fraud examiner job. These jobs are usually found in stores, banks, and other financial organizations, and it is the responsibility of these auditors to ensure that there are no instances of fraudulent behavior by staff, customers, or management. In this auditor position, all records, inventories, and payroll departments are inspected on a regular basis ensure that there is no fraud in the corporation.

Another internal auditor job you may find interesting is that of the certified information systems auditor. A certified information systems auditor is responsible for ensuring that the given computer system has not been compromised and that information added to the system is correct. These auditors also ensure that the operators of the system are not having any problems accessing information they need to run the given business smoothly. This auditor position is an important part of the business and helps to keep unwanted guests out of the computer.

Another internal auditor job is that of chief financial officer. A chief financial officer specializes in forecasting, financial analysis, budgeting, and internal auditing. These officers start out as staff accountants and move up to become senior accountants. Then they are made chief financial officers after being with the given company for a long period of time.

Internal auditor jobs pay great salaries. No matter which of the jobs you choose, you can make an outstanding income and obtain a lot of great benefits. Pay starts at approximately $40,000 per year as a hotel night auditor and goes up to approximately $125,000 or more as the chief financial officer of an organization. There are tons of perks as well. Any of these jobs usually requires at least a bachelor's degree in one of the accounting-type degrees. Most of these jobs require some kind of career certification and a few years of hands-on experience. Every candidate will need college skills in order to take on auditor positions.
